Make a Christmas
calendar that shows kids how to countdown till Santa's arrival.
It's a fun
craft for kids
Christmas parties and a great take-home holiday party favor too.
The Christmas countdown calendar is an easy way for
kids to learn about the passage of time until this much-anticipated
holiday!

CHRISTMAS CALENDAR INSTRUCTIONS
1. Print and
enlarge the Santa calendar artwork above for each child.
2. Have kids color Santa's face and hat using crayons, paints, or markers.
3. Cut out and glue each Santa to a piece of oak tag, poster board or other sturdy
backing paper. (A nice Christmas green complements Santa's red hat.)
4. Kids can
take their Santa calendar home, tape it to a wall, and countdown to
Christmas. Here's how:
5. Each day, kids simply glue a cotton ball over
the number corresponding to the date, starting with December 1st.
6. They
continue throughout the month until the last cotton ball affixed to Santa's
pompom on the 25th heralds Christmas Day!
The finished Christmas calendar (my son Daniel's artwork) should look like
this:

LEGEND ON SANTA'S
HAT
December first to Christmas, Is the longest time of
year. It seems like dear old Santa, Never will appear.
How
many more days till Christmas? It's mighty hard to count, so
this Santa's beard, will tell the exact amount.
Glue a piece of
cotton to his beard each night, And when it is full and
fluffy, Santa is ready for his
flight!
