An angel costume is immensely popular with little girls. Dress-up,
parties, and Halloween trick or treating are all great opportunities to indulge
your child's heavenly fantasies.
Dressing an angel can be done in many ways. The easiest is to find a light airy white or
pastel-colored dress or even nightgown, then add wings and halo.
Alternatively,
you can make your own quick and easy dress with about 2 yards of
fabric.

Angel
Wings
Materials:
Heavy corrugated cardboard
Gold paint
Gold Glitter or white maribou lace (optional)
Gold cord, 8 yds.
Utility Knife
Draw a wing shape on the cardboard, approximately 2 ft.
across. For an easy shape, keep in mind a butterfly’s wings or you may get
as fancy as you wish. Here's a template to help you...
The wings should extend from the top of your child’s hips to
the top of the shoulders. Spray paint gold and let dry. You may wish to
add gold glitter or white maribou around the perimeter of the wings.
Punch four holes in the center of the wingspan, two over
two. Thread gold cord through two holes on each side, crisscross across
child’s chest and secure in back to hold in place.
