Jungle Party Decorations -
On the door, make a sign that says "It’s a Jungle in Here!"
Or try this awesome Personalized Safari Banner:
Lion Photo Standee
Create a jungle
habitat with light and dark green streamers hanging about the walls
and ceiling. Add some yellow or orange too, for some contrast and a
lighter look. Make palm trees from used carpet tubes and large construction paper leaves. Or
make a cool jungle canopy with palm leaf patterned green gossamer.
Cut animal footprints from
construction paper and tape to walls and floor. Construction paper chains and
brown crepe paper make great vines too. Drape stuffed toy monkeys - the kind
with long hanging velcro arms, about your jungle, along with stuffed or rubber
snakes.
Grass mats, palm leaf thatching , camouflage
netting, and
burlap sacking are all great materials to use to create a jungle habitat. If
outdoors, start with a tent canopy and improvise. If the party is indoors, add
a fog machine for a real jungle/rainforest effect! Play jungle animal sounds of rain falling, frogs chirping.
Make zulu
warrior masks and hang them about or let kids use them for free play. These cute tiki mask
cut-outs will do in a pinch. Matching spears can be easily fashioned from bamboo
rods and cardboard spearheads decorated with raffia and craft feathers. Lean
these here and there for a fun and fierce accent.
For the party table, raffia skirting and festive palm tree cups get you off to a great start. Then, drape tiger patterned gossamer over the backs
of chairs, and use animal print slap bracelets or safari springs for napkin
rings.

Make a COOL HUT in which party guests can play -
Start with a large
cardboard appliance box. Drape with animal print
gossamer , tearing the ends to look ragged. Use palm leaf thatching draped over the
top for an authentic look. Surround with silk or real
plants or green palm-leaf patterned gossamer.
At a
given time, the party child can invite each guest in turn into his hut to
open presents.
For little ones, cordon off an area of the party room and
hang a sign labeled "Jungle Petting Zoo". Instruct guests in advance to bring
their favorite stuffed jungle animals to place in the zoo. Or, make your own
zoo with this inflatable giraffe and zebra.
Bunch these cool patterned safari print balloons - cheetah, leopard, zebra, and
tiger latex - throughout the party area.

Jungle Party Costumes -
Dress the party
child in khakis, tan shirt and a pith helmet. Or, let your party child be "king" or "queen" of the jungle with one of
these animal masks: zebra,
tiger,
or giraffe.

Provide simple visors made to look like jungle animals. Or, give each guest
a pair of animal print retro sunglasses and an animal print bandanna to wear. How
about this cool zulu warrior
feathered headpiece..... for Mom!
Set up a "Tribal Face Painting Station" where you’ll add whiskers, stripes,
spots, or a black nose to complete the look. You could also just face
paint on spiders, snakes, ladybugs and
butterflies.

Before serving drop the container into the punch bowl. Very cool effect!
Variation: Smoldering Swamp Water - Float the dry ice container in a green beverage such as 7-UP.
