An easy hands-on kid party favor idea is to plan a party craft that guests can
make themselves, then take home as their party favor.
Kids love to be creative and they'll
end up with their own personal keepsake to remind them of the good time they had
at your party!
Your craft store will have all the materials you need for these
cool creations:

PILLOWCASE
*Most Memorable Kid Party Favor Idea*
This is a great slumber party favor. Buy multi-packs to save $ and decorate with permanent fabric markers OR make a t-shirt design in advance on your computer with special software, then have guests autograph and personalize each shirt. "Hot dots" markers are great for this
project!
2. EASY PICTURE FRAME
Glue together picture frames from craft sticks and decorate with glitter, gems, markers, etc.
Add a polaroid of each guest taken with the party child for an impressive memento.
3. DESIGNER PLANT POT
Get small terra cotta pots from your garden or craft store. Guests can brush on a base color and
let it dry, then decorate with assorted acrylic paints. Provide some small stencils such as hearts
and stars and bits of sponge for cool effects! If desired, you supply a small plant for them to pot
in their new creation.
4. HOMEMADE SOAP
Purchase glycerin soap cubes and soap-making molds at your craft store. Just melt in the
microwave, pour and add some small shiny beads, shells, silk flowers or other tiny trinkets for a
fun look. Wrap in colored cellophane and tie with a curly bow. Here are
some ideas for soap party favor
minis.
5. POTPOURRI SACHET You will need a large bag of scented potpourri,
colorful fabric, sheer fabric netting, and 1/4 inch satin ribbon. Using pinking
shears for fancy edge, cut out circles of fabric and netting approx. 9 inches in
diameter. Cut out 18 inch lengths of 1/4 inch white satin ribbon. Guests layer a
piece of fabric, then netting, then add a small amount of potpourri, and tie it
up with the ribbon. If desired, string a fancy-cut paper square with the child's
name on it onto the ribbon for identification.

11. BALLOON PLANT
*Most Unusual Kid Party Favor Idea*
Kids really love making these and then watching their new
plant grow. Purchase enough
clear
balloons so each guest has one and throw in a few extra for unexpected guests or unexpected accidents!
Hold a balloon firmly by the neck. Using a funnel, pour 1/2 cup of potting soil into the balloon. Follow up with about 1/4 cup of water. Be sure the soil in the balloon is wet, but not
too soggy. Now, still using the funnel, drop a few radish seeds into the balloon. Don't turn the balloon over at any time during this process.
Gently wipe the surface of the balloon with a soft cloth and carefully inflate. Be sure to keep
the balloon from tipping. Tie a knot in the balloon and add a ribbon with a sturdy loop. When
taken home, the balloon can be hung from a hook near a window. Adults and kids alike will be
fascinated watching the little radishes grow!

imagination!
