Chapter One - About Me

As a business professional, I have worked in the Travel and Tourism Industry, as a Marketing Manager, and as an Administrative Assistant to various top-level executives.

I’ve always been a highly motivated person and have tried to make the most of every job I undertake.

There’s just one thing wrong with the workplace .... it’s WORK! And the 9 to 5 thing becomes a real chore when you get married and become a Mom!

My husband Keith (a great guy, by the way) and I believe that having a full time Mom for our kids is a priority. Motherhood is highly under-rated these days. I for one, want to experience it to the fullest. So, since 1996, I have been a "Stay-at-Home" Mom.

Our three children, Elizabeth, Tyler, and Daniel are our "treasures". I feel fortunate to be able to be there for them to guide them as they learn and grow.

The only drawback is that living on a single income means we have to really watch our pennies...and dollars! Not a complaint, just fact. I often think:

Wouldn’t it be great to have just a little extra in the budget for the fun things in life?

A dinner out, a movie, maybe even a vacation with the family? These are things we have sacrificed to be present in the day to day lives of our children. I don’t regret our decision, but I can dream, can’t I?

My first internet venture began after my son Tyler was born with two severe clubfeet. I created Clubfoot Information and Parental Support (CLIPS) , a website which provides free information, resources and support to parents of children born with clubfoot.

Built entirely within preformatted pages, the CLIPS site is rather simple in design and scope. It didn’t take a lot of computer know-how to get it up and running.

Yet it was an important first step toward increasing my comfort zone operating in the online world.

The CLIPS site also opened my eyes to the vast reach of the internet and to the ability to project a message around the world. I have counseled dozens of families of children around the globe, who are undergoing clubfoot treatment.

The experience has been a real blessing to me.

My next internet venture involved net auctions. I began by selling a few items on Ebay to clear out my cluttered basement. It was a kick and I made some spending money to boot!

I was hooked!

My modest Ebay sales really ignited the desire to build a successful internet-based business. I'm a published author and have always loved writing. I've worked plenty with computers, too.

Still, I knew little html (the computer language one uses to write web pages) and even less about creating profitable websites and internet marketing.

Many others were doing it, though, and I thought -- why not me? I just didn’t know how to begin.

I was on the brink of discovering the secret which would help me to realize my dream: these three small - but powerful - words:

Chapter Two - SBI Rules!

In the course of my web research, I heard about Site Build It.

Promoted as an "all-in-one site-building, site hosting, and site-marketing system of software tools", SBI grabbed my attention in a big way.

No hype or hardsell, just a logical, common-sense method of building your ideal internet site and business. Here's what I learned:

Dr. Ken Evoy, the Owner of SBI, is THE foremost authority and internet guru for many web entrepreneurs and SBI owners like me. In my humble opinion, he is a genius at internet marketing.

Dr. Evoy has a way of boiling down all the internet mumbo jumbo into a dynamic plan of action that anyone can follow to become successful. In fact, he wrote THE BIBLE on creating profitable websites called "Make Your Site Sell" (MYSS).

Still, I’m not a risk-taker. I researched and pondered, pondered and researched before becoming an SBI user. Now consider at this point, I had not spent a penny, yet I was already gaining a valuable education in all aspects of internet marketing!

In addition to the free Ebooks, I also read testimonials from many SBI users who were thrilled with the SBI approach to site-building.

I found even more proof of SBI in action: a whole collection of SBI sites which score in the top 3% of all the sites on the internet using the Alexa rating, an internet site popularity index. In fact, 51% of all SBI sites score in the top 6% of the most popular websites on the internet! Now, that's impressive!

Next, I even got up my nerve to email a few SBI owners whose sites I had visited and asked them what they thought of SBI.

And guess what? Their response was unanimous.

EVERYONE believed in the SBI product, the process, and its potential to bring success, if the user follows Mr. Evoy’s guidelines.

Well, I may be slow, but I know GREAT when it sneaks up and thumps me in the head!

Now the momentum was building inside me... could I REALLY do this? I was by no means a computer geek or techie. But the SBI model seemed so simple, so logical, so RIGHT, it bolstered my confidence and inspired me to try.

Finally, I took the plunge. On February 14^th, 2004, I became an SBI user.

The rest, as they say, is history.

My site has not been an overnight success. SBI is not a get-rich-quick scheme. It has taken me lots of hard work and many anxious moments. However, I just stuck with the SBI step-by-step Action Guide and worked the plan... the SBI success plan.

Dr. Evoy - yes, him again! - says if you add your own BAM! - "Brains And Motivation", that is - to the SBI success plan, you’re sure to come up a winner!

Kids Party Paradise is a winner in my eyes.

I love sharing my ideas for great original kids parties. Being a mother of three quite naturally gives me much material for a kids website. I’m continually gathering new ideas in the realm of baking, decorating, crafts, costumes, games and all it takes to put on a truly great kids party.

My writing had been put on the back burner indefinitely while raising my family. Kids Party Paradise is my excuse for picking up the pen again - er, keyboard.

Kids Party Paradise is building profitability every day.

From the start, traffic has doubled every month, this month it will triple. A majority of my pages rank very highly in the search engines and my income from advertising and affiliate links is increasing steadily.

All great indicators of a healthy and productive website!

But there is still much to do... add more party pages and affiliate merchants, promote a newsletter, perhaps add a blog ... I can see so much potential, it is truly exciting!!!

The bottom line is, I LOVE the work I’m doing.

It allows me to stay home with my kids, satisfies my creative side... AND I get paid to do it!

That translates into less stress and more fun for me ... and my family!
