Western Party Food


Try our quick and easy western party food for your next wild west party, or anywhere people are gathered beside a campfire!

Adults and kids alike will enjoy this hearty western style fare.
 

Cookie's Quick & Easy Chuckwagon Chili Recipe

1 lb. Ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced or 1 tblsp garlic powder
2 small onions, chopp
ed
1 16 oz. Can tomatoes
1 8 oz. Can tomato sauce
1 1/2 to 2 tsp. Chili powder
2 16 oz. Cans red kidney beans

Combine first 3 ingredients in large pan and saute slowly, stirring often, about 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, and simmer covered about 10 min. longer. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, if desired.


Ranch Style Beans

32 ounces pork and beans
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons mustard
1/2 cup catsup
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon liquid Barbecue Smoke, optional
1 large onion, diced
1 small bell pepper, diced, optional
3 tablespoons molasses, optional
4 bacon slices, fried & broken up

Mix all ingredients together. Bake at 350F for 1 hour or cook in crockpot on high for 4 to 5 hours. Serves 6.

Two Step Party Kit .  Scatter gold coins over the center of the table.  Write each guest's name on a sheriff badge and use as place cards.  Place a boot mug at each place setting.

~ Western Party Food ~

Little Dawgies

one lb. cocktail hotdogs
one cup grape jelly
1/3 to 1/2 cup mustard

Melt jelly and mustard over medium heat, then add franks. Serves 8.



Roast marshmallows over the campfire or try this quick and easy recipe:

S'Mores

3/4 cup light corn syrup
3 tbsp. margarine or butter
1 pkg. (11.5 oz.) Nestl‚ milk chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box (12 oz.) Golden Grahams cereal
3 cups miniature marshmallows

Grease 13x9x2" pan. Heat syrup, margarine and chips to boiling, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal in bowl; toss until coated. Fold in marshmallows, 1 cup at a time. Press in pan with buttered back of spoon. Let stand for 1 hr.

Cut into 2-inch squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature up to 2 days. Yield: 24 squares.
